Heidi has been with us for several years. She has been blind for many years and gets by wonderfully without vision. She prefers living with a calm horse or pony who will treat her kindly and tolerate an occasional collision as she makes her way around the pasture. Heidi is not a clingy blind horse and does not need to be close to her pasture mate, she finds comfort just knowing they are around. She enjoys getting groomed, is easy to handle and lead around, trusting the handler to guide her along. During the nicer weather she is turned out 24/7 and is used to being stalled at night during the cold winter months. As she is advanced in age she does require hay cubes as her teeth are quite worn down.
