Hi Everyone,
I'm Dorothy!
I have taken over Jelly's correspondence, so
please email me ...

I'm "all ears" for what anyone has to say.

Hello from Wilbur. He would like to point out that Horses' Haven isn't just for horses!

wilburWelcome to Horses' Haven. We couldn't be happier to have you visit our "barn" on the web. While you're here, stay a while and read about some of the extraordinary animals we have had the privilege of helping and who have enriched our lives. Please feel free to take our Virtual Barn Tour and meet the horses currently at our barn and see what a dramatic difference we can make working together as told in our Success Stories...

Then surf over to the Calendar of Events (we'd love to meet you at one of our events), and if you're moved to help, please check out the How You Can Help pages for some ideas on how you can make a difference in the lives of our wonderful horses.

In case you're wondering how your donations will be used, all of the many talented people who help Horses' Haven volunteer their time and talents - THERE ARE NO PAID STAFF AT HORSES' HAVEN - ALL DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO THE CARE OF THE HORSES. On the down side, please be patient if you contact us and it takes awhile to respond. We do love to hear from you, but since most of us work full-time jobs in addition to volunteering, sometimes it's hard to keep up.

We now have two past volunteers currently in Veterinary School (Erin Shaw and Melanie Seymore) and two more of our volunteers have been accepted into vet school this August (Mary Isaac and Phillip McDonald). Congratulations to them all. We feel so honored that our HH volunteers chose to devote their lives to the care of animals!

Our sponsorship horses of the month are Silver and Kokomo. These two are the best of buddies and spend their days frolicking around the pastures at Horses' Haven.
If you would like to help with their care, please use the donate button below.

silver and kokomo

These are some of Silver and Kokmo's friends that also need sponsors to visit them on the farm - Perfect Image, Angel, Rose, Heidi, Danny, Adonis, Pokey, Maizie, Rosie, Luke, Covergirl, Winnie, Casey, and Juliette.

Sponsorship allows you to visit your horse, pony or donkey, bring carrots, take him/her for a walk on a leadline, groom and love and spoil the them all you want! Read how you can sponsor Silver and Kokomo!

Say Hello to Rescue Pony! Rescue Pony has a very special story that you can read when you adopt him. Take him home for the holidays or give him to that special little one in your life. Also, every child will be able to join the RP Kidz Club for FREE by sending in the application that is included in the booklet and if they share with us the new name given to their Rescue Pony (of course he has to have a name!) we may include it in our next newsletter...what fun! Click here for more information on how you can adopt your very own Rescue Pony.

If you'd like to make a memorial donation in the name of any Horses' Haven resident who was dear to you, you may do so either by check made out to Horses' Haven (send to P.O. Box 166, Howell, MI 48844), by credit card (please call the Horses' Haven office at 517-548-4880), or through Paypal by using any of the "Donate Today" buttons on this web page.

If you choose to make your donation using Paypal, please indicate in the "Please Direct Donation To" field that this is a memorial donation, and for which animal.

Your memorial donation can also be made in the name of a beloved pet who once brightened your life and has since passed on. As always, your donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to help the next "Frosty", "Hansel" and/or "Schroeder" who needs our help.

We love visitors, and encourage and welcome you to visit Horses' Haven. However, this is a working farm and we must request that you make an appointment in advance to visit or tour.

Horses' Haven started as an all volunteer organization, and through the years has managed to continue to function in that capacity. Because of that, we are able to direct all of your precious donations to the care and happiness of the horses that we know are as dear to you as they are to us. Since we are all volunteers, we simply cannot staff someone to do tours 7 X 24 for drop-ins.

We want you to enjoy your visit, introduce you to all of the animals in our care, answer your questions and spend time with you. Volunteers will happily be on hand to spend time with you during appointments.

To make an appointment to visit Horses' Haven, please either send an email to our visitor/tour coordinator, Sue Smith-Edoff at smithedoff@comcast.net or call 810-229-4404.

THANK YOU!!!!

DONATIONS

In addition to cash or checks, donations to Horses' Haven can be made via Paypal by selecting the donation link on this page or through Visa or Master Charge credit cards or through www.networkforgood.com.

Besides funds to help us operate, we take donations of hay, shavings, tack, equipment, blankets, trucks, trailers or whatever you have that we can use. These donations are tax deductible too!

If you must give up your horse for whatever reason, we take in sound, healthy, rideable horses and ponies and can find them a wonderful and loving home. Horses are adopted or fostered out only. Horses' Haven does not sell horses. All horses donated to us belong to us forever.

For information on any of the above or if you wish to donate via credit cards, please call the Horses' Haven office at 517-548-4880.
